Vocal lessons will pick up again in March. Our tutor has been unable to teach with us for a few weeks and all missed lessons will be added on to the end of the Summer Term.
Keep your eye on the timetables and on the music noticeboard for updates.

The Friends of Forest Hill have kindly offered to help us raise some extra funds for resources in the department this term. This will be vital in getting a number of mac computers back into use for our students.
We are holding a fundraising concert next week that will be filled with a mix of styles and music from a range of year groups including bands, solo artists and more.
The concert will be on Tuesday October 16th and starts at 6.30pm in the KKT.
Tickets are available from the Parent Pay website here

This year we will be asking all music students to agree and sign up to a new Music Contract.
As we experienced a lot of damage to equipment towards the end of last year we feel it is right and necessary to reaffirm the school’s ethos around being Ready, Respectful, and Safe.
Be on time
Enter the lesson with a positive attitude
Be prepared to challenge and express yourself
Turn up with the resources you need (sticks, lyrics, picks, instruments etc.)
Respect each other and each other’s opinions
Treat the equipment with care so that it’s available for others to use
Keep the practice rooms tidy and report any damage to your teacher immediately
Think carefully about what you are performing and listening to. Is it appropriate and respectful to everyone?
Have fun and enjoy the experience and make sure things don’t get out of hand
Make sure you’re using clean versions and radio edits when working
Be focused on the task in hand in the workspace you’ve been given
Food and drink is not allowed in practice rooms as this poses a risk of electrocution and equipment damage
This agreement will help to keep practical music making flourishing in the school as resources and equipment will be treated with more care and will be available for everyone.
You will see the contract in your first music lesson this term and by signing up you can help us to focus on the music and the fun.
